Book Description
A forty-four page learn/play by numbers diatonic button accordion instructional manual. It is written
in easy to follow language, with running comments in the tunes to help in the learning process,
and lessons backed up by photographs. Each tune is recorded twice on each CD. A slow version
broken down into phrases for learning and a medium tempo version for practice.
This book is designed for the masses of people who do not read music but want to learn to play or
increase their skills in playing the button accordion. It is a grass roots manual with companion CD.
for learning the basic fundamental elements of the one, two or three row diatonic button accordion.
For ease of learning all the fundamental elements exercises are based on the lower scales Do Re
Me Fa So La Ti Do, buttons three to six. The scales are very easy to learn and once learned allows
the student to concentrate on learning and practicing the fundamental elements and tunes. The student
is then led into learning and playing the upper scales and tunes in the upper scales, buttons six
to nine. Bass accompaniment tunes and exercises( again based on the scales), is covered. The last
two elements covered are playing double notes (playing two buttons together) and playing the lower
and higher scales together.
